How can you be sure that your files will print the way you see them on your computer?
For some people, this is of little concern because they simply leave it up to the lab to give them pleasing results. This is how labs have always worked in the past, but the computer has given us a new paradigm in that people can now adjust their work before sending it to the lab. To do this properly, one must first be certain that the image is being previewed and adjusted on a profiled monitor. Please observe the following points:
Images should be a flattened RGB tiff or a high quality jpeg file Images should be sized to 400 ppi at the output size for Digital Color Prints. Slide maximum resolution: 4096x2730 pixels (7.33"x11" @ 372 dpi). If you are comfortable with color management, you can convert your image to our output profile before sending it to us. This approach will give you the most predictable results. The profiles for our digital services are available from our pull down menu below. Other profiles are available on request. Either way, just tell us whether or not to make adjustments to your files. It's your right to be right about what your images should look like, but we need to get your instruction on how to treat each order. |
