We use state-of-the-art Hi Resolution Drum Scanners. This scanner is capable of scanning at 5,000 dots to the inch, non-interpolated, assurring not only a high resolution scan, but also one that is high quality. Fluid mounting is used for films, both positive and negative, to eliminate Newton Rings, reduce dust and best of all, provide the sharpest scan possible with ultimate clarity and best dynamic range.
If a drum scan is the ultimate way to convert analog to digital, the reverse is an LVT film recorder. Using a rotatiing drum and flare free optical system, we image film at a resolutions up to 80 lines per millimeter. The LVT images B&W and color sheet film and paper up to 16 x 20 inches. Slides from digital files are made on a CRT type of film recorder.

We use hand picked optics and custom color profiles which we create on site. We can scan almost anything from fine art to murals.

Plus, because we're still photographers and a custom lab, we know when large format film and a drum scan is the better approach to straight digital capture.

The BetterLight® scanning system is the very best way to capture an image with amazing resolutions and perfect color. It offers complete flexibility so we can tailor the lighting for each original.
